“I am about to have cabinets built by the Yoder Kitchen Corporation on my fourth home. We started with a large project on our lake home in Syracuse, Indiana that included the kitchen, baths, den, and a bar. Our second project was our big home on White Hawk in Crown Point, Indiana with kitchens, baths, bar, and an entertainment wall. The last job was in Naples, Florida which included all the cabinets (Kitchen, baths, desk, and entertainment center.) The quality is superb with rich features. You get used to a Yoder cabinet, and you feel embarassed for people when you visit homes without them and easily notice substandard quality.

“I LOVE MY NEW KITCHEN! We heard of Yoder Kitchen Corp. through an old high school friend/neighbor who had her kitchen done with YKC, and it was beautiful! She highly recommended them. I have had my old kitchen since we first moved into this 150 year old house 40 years ago. We live in an old farm house, that I dearly love, with all of its crooked floors and walls. The views outside the windows—I wouldn’t trade for anything, but it was time for a remodeling job which included floor coverings, new cabinets, painted walls, and appliances. We now have an “eat in” kitchen with room for a large table to feed 14 people (no formal dining room). I do love to cook!
Yoders came out and measured the room. I told them I wished to keep the soffits above the kitchen cupboards. I love to decorate the soffits with silk bittersweet branches. Yoders suggested that we trade the refrigerator and the stove locations, making my kitchen seem even larger (great idea). The one requirement that I really wanted was to have the kitchen done before spring field work began...and they did! I had plenty of time to put my kitchen back together before the tractors moved to the fields.
I have a beautiful hutch and a rocking chair on the north wall of my kitchen, and a large bow window on the east wall with wainscoting on two of the “non-cabinet” walls that I wanted to keep. So, I borrowed a door from the hutch and had Yoders match the maple wood and stain. They did a perfect match! It is just beautiful—so much so that my husband decided that we should carry this cabinet theme into the adjoining office/mudroom and laundry room. We have new cupboards, counters, and even a wonderful pantry—Pefect!
The people who installed everything worked so hard to ensure that the cabinets hung straight on our old crooked walls and floors. Installer Tom was determined to make everything hang level. He didn’t quit until he and my husband were satisfied (I have a fussy hubby, but I think Tom is fussier!)
During the building of our cabinets, we were invited to visit the factory floor and were so impressed! We saw women with pencils wrapped in sandpaper, sanding all the little nooks and crevices! Everyone in the factory did a wonderful job, they even had spirit about them that they were enjoying their specific jobs which is very rare and unusual indeed!
I love walking into my new kitchen and I love showing it off! I give everyone the full tour and they are all in awe. I show them the drawers that close by themselves—no more standing on my head to retrieve pots and pans, I’m getting to old for all that! I have two new neat pull-out shelves in my corner cabinet which also pull themselves back in place. I asked to have a “pretty” freestanding shelf to tplace under the corner cupboards to hold all my pretty canisters and various small dishes that I might use everyday in place of an appliance garage—you really should see it! I get lots of comments about my “pretty shelf.”
The hardest part of this whole kitchen remodel was having to pick out the perfect paint to match the kitchen, office, and laundry room walls. I finally got it right...the third time around!
